Behind-The-Scenes Periscope
The Västra Hamnen area of Malmö integrates impressive systems of ecological sustainability into the infrastructure. I wanted to reveal the energy and environment-saving concepts at work in the neighborhood to help visitors and residents understand more about these hidden technologies.
A 360° illustration is viewed by looking through a rotating periscope (co-developed by the city of Malmö and Unsworn Industries). The illustration overlays the actual landscape and leads viewers through the landscape to playfully connect behind-the-scenes elements to the larger system.
